L’ASSAM, in collaborazione con le associazioni olivicole marchigiane, organizza giovedì 10 marzo 2011 alle ore 9 , il 10° CONCORSO REGIONALE DI POTATURA DELL’OLIVO “Le forbici d’oro” che si svolgerà, nella edizione 2011, nella provincia di Ascoli Piceno a COSSIGNANO (AP) presso l’Azienda Agricola FIORANO, Contrada Fiorano, 19. Il concorso ha duplice valenza. Esso rappresenta la preselezione al Campionato Nazionale di potatura dell’olivo, che si terrà il 25 -26 marzo 2011 ad Alghero (SS) e costituisce la verifica di idoneità per l’iscrizione all’Elenco degli operatori abilitati alla potatura dell’olivo, tenuto presso l’ASSAM. I 60 concorrenti provenienti from all the brands, will compete in a vase polyconic pruning olive trees of 3-to-head in a maximum time of 10 minutes per plant. At the end of the morning, Dr. Giorgio-panels-President of the Jury, will make a practical demonstration of pruning. Seui, as all of the towns rich in history and tradition, keeps in mind the memory of some now demolished buildings and monuments.

Our journey begins with the rural church of San Pietro. This religious building was located in "Santu Perdu", south of the limestone massif of Mount Tonneri, the oasis in the heart of Montarbu. Remains of the walls were still visible at the dawn of the last century. Chiudiamo questo viaggio alla scoperta della Seui del passato con l’antica chiesa di San Giovanni Battista. Localizzata all’interno dell’abitato, nel rione omonimo, in pieno centro storico, questo edificio religioso risaliva molto probabilmente alla prima metà del seicento. Presentava una struttura con volte incannucciate e capriate lignee. In legno era anche il pavimento.
